Taygetos "View From Above"

In five minutes from the center of Sparta starts a beautiful circular tour of mount Taygetos by foot!
Our trip starts from Parori (altitude 270m) along a stone path to the old monastery, named "Panagia Zagouna". The view of Eyrota's valley is magnificent.
We enjoy the forest of oaks and firs. As we visit the old monastery of Faneromeni (altitude 780m), we start descending the famous E4 (european path) until the church of Sotira where we reach the steep gorge lagada.
As the flow of the river creates waterfalls and small lakes at the bottom, we descend the cliff from its top along a small path, surrounded by a colorful landscape.
The view of the gorge is amazing and the experience of this hiking tour remains unforgetable!
